As part of UIM's annual Youth and Family Steppin' Up service, guest speaker Rev. Pat Palmer will deliver the talk and the youth of Unity will lead the singing. During "The Invitation Is from Within,"  we'll consider the meaning of living consciously as it emerges through the three major spiritual principles that Rev. Pat believes provide the foundation for conscious living.  Rev. Pat will share examples from her own experiences and invite us to examine our lives and consider these principles for conscious living.

Healing Mind, Body, and Spirit

Rev. Bill Englehart is on fire about one of his favorite topics, Healing Mind, Body, and Spirit. He will discuss the healing methods of Jesus and highlight the similarities to the healing methods of Joel Goldsmith and Phineas Quimby. He will also reference modern scientific findings about healing. Take this opportunity to listen and heal yourself! The UIM Choir explodes with joy and celebration.

The Mommy Wars

In her talk this Sunday, guest speaker Rev. Medora Gordon will redefine mommy wars theologically, going beyond the traditional working-mother vs. stay-at-home-mom battle. After all, women have been in and out of the mommy wars of theological history for 24,000 years. What happened, really? Where are we now, and what does it all mean metaphysically? Rev. Vic Jenkins is the featured speaker this week. The title of his talk, Stay on the Phone, directly relates to the unusual and tragic circumstances resulting in his daughter's death. This event presented a challenge that moved Rev. Vic to commit his heart and energy to promoting peace at every level, especially in the home. The focus of his talk will be on how to heal the wounds that violence inevitably inflicts on us all.
