Richard Gordon
Richard Gordon has been actively involved at Unity In Marin for over 8 years. He joined UIM, in 2003, serving 3 years as a Team Leader/Ass. Team Leader for the Ushers, and Co-Teacher of “Unleash the Genius Within”. Richard also is serving as a Facilitator for one of the in-home-study groups for the Seven Week Book Study; and on the revenue Count Team. At Unity he is a Contractor and cheer Leader of several Construction projects for the Gala Fund raiser, and un-official Construction adviser for the UIM Campus.
Prior to becoming a member at Unity In Marin, Richard attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Rafael, where he served as a member of the Vestry, the Junior Warden, Usher, and on the revenue counts Team. Richard also served as Construction Advisor in the restoration of the Victorian era buildings for many years.
Richard grew up in San Rafael, and has been a General Contractor, in Marin, specializing in Building Projects, Structural repairs, Termite control, Electrical, and Remodeling for over 40 years. His personal interests include: Spiritual Studies, Improving his home, planning building projects, use of Manufactured Housing, training people in working and construction skills, traveling, boating, shopping, movies and walking with his wonderful German Shepard (and Guardian Angel), Maggie. Richard lives in Novato with his life-long love and beautiful wife, the Rev. Medora Gordon. They have 6 grown children, and 14 beautiful and talented grand-children.
