In February, the focus will be on Relationships, Friends, lovers and family.
This Sundays talk title: “Friends, Our Family of Choice.”
I heard this said many times over the years. Is it true? Personally, I have found that relatives may be friends but friends may not be relatives.
“One loyal friend is worth ten thousand relatives.”
- Euripedes 480-406B.C.
With whom are we friends? Are they people who just think like we do? Are we truly our own best friend? Would we describe God as a friend or an acquaintance? How many friends have we had over the years that we are no longer friends with? Some end because we move on from a job or relocate. Some endure regardless of location.
Sometimes there is a falling out. Sometimes it gets repaired. Sometimes it doesn't. I believe that friends come into our lives for a reason a season or a lifetime. I invite you to join me on Sunday as we begin this February series on Relationships, Friends, Lovers and Family.
