Wednesday, May 29 Inspirational Service:  DRUMMING with Steve Listug   7:15pm

Every 5th Wednesday the drum circle serves as a tool for UNITY where we empower each other and celebrate life through rhythm. All levels of musical expertise are invited to share their rhythmical spirit with a variety of percussion instruments. Unity In Marin was the recipient of 20 fabulous congas, African drums and more. So, if you do not have your own drum, one will be provided for you!!  If you have an extra drum, bring that too!  If you would like to just listen or dance to the music, please join us!  This is an evening for the entire family! Meets in the Sanctuary.

Sunday, June 2 — Tribal Elders — 1pm

We welcome Dr. Julie Mangada, Buck Institute Speaker, to our Tribal Elders meeting. Julie has specialized in immunology and cell replacement therapies using human embryonic stem cells.  Her philosophy is that science should be accessible to all and as a result of that she has taken on the Education Outreach Coordinator at the Buck Institute, working with local students from Sonoma and Marin counties.  We are very fortunate to have her as our guest.  A light lunch will be served for a donation of $5 - $10.  Meets in Unity Hall.

Sunday, June 2 — Afternoon with Adyashanti — 1 to 5pm

Come to the Sanctuary for a special afternoon with Adyashanti, an American-born spiritual teacher devoted to serving the awakening of all beings. His teachings are an open invitation to stop, inquire, and recognize what is true and liberating at the core of all existence. Asked to teach in 1996 by his Zen teacher of 14 years, Adyashanti offers teachings that are free of any tradition or ideology. “The Truth I point to is not confined within any religious point of view, belief system, or doctrine, but is open to all and found within all.”
