Wednesday May 30 — Drumming Circle ~ "Drumming and Dancing Your Prayers" — 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

Please join your commUnity on Wednesday, May 30th for an evening of playing the language of rhythm!  Our drumming circle promotes healing of the soul and a deep sense of connection as we communicate our joy and love for one another through our drums.  No experience is necessary, and there are always extra drums.  Not a drummer, but like to dance??  This service would be perfect for all of you who "Dance Your Prayers"!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Steve Listug or Pamella Cavanna.

 

Thursday, May 31 — Love Language Workshop — 7:15 to 9:30 p.m.

Getting the Love You Want and Wanting the Love You Get. If I’m so loved, why don’t I feel it?  Learn why you may not be feeling the love from those around you – and yes, they are sending it to you!  Join in an evening of discovering your pathway to feeling loved.  In this workshop, you will identify your “loving style” and how it can transform your relationships.  Together, we will realize new ways of feeling and expressing the abundant love that is around us.  Workshop with Rev. Friday, June 1 — Transformative Cinema: "Wake Up" —  7:30 p.m.   

Unity Inspirational Film and post film discussion with Cassandra Vieten, Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. 7:00pm Doors open,  7:30 Film followed by discussion with Cassandra Vieten.  The documentary Wake Up follows the fascinating story of an average guy named Jonas who inexplicably developed the ability to access other dimensions. Sunday, June 3 – July 1 — Metaphysical Bible Interpretation: Hebrew Scriptures — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Co-taught by Rev. Medora and Kris Bowman-Kreuzer, Licensed Unity Teacher, in Unity Hall.  Please join us as we explore together the metaphysical meaning of bible stories like Noah’s Ark, the Tower of Babel, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Our chief aim is that each of us develops the knowledge and skill to interpret scripture, and learn to apply these teachings to our lives. The class is designed around lecture, discussion, and interactive metaphysical interpretation. Please sign-up in the Courtyard. Sunday, June 3 — Integral Spirituality: Expanding the Arc of your Devotion 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Within each of us are four native perspectives or primary ways through which we experience the world. Although our life journey is multidimensional and multifaceted we tend to orient or give devotion to one perspective thereby living a fraction of our full humanity. But what if we were to expand the arc of our devotion? Based on Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory, this workshop explores these native perspectives and enables us to access a more expansive way of living. Saturday, June 9 — Readers' Theatre Auditions — 10 a.m.

 Release that performer within you and join in the fun of show-biz!  Five short comedies with several roles for both men and women. Line learning optional. Saturday, June 15 —Cabaret Evening with Musaic — 8:00 p.m.

Musaic is returning to UIM for a POPS! concert. This is entirely popular music with a combination of their usual a cappella ensemble songs + accompanied solos and duets. Songs include a Billy Joel set, Girl from Ipanema, Mood Indigo, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Java Jive, and show tunes from Stephen Sondheim, barbershop tunes from The Music Man, etc. POPS! is great way to kick-off your summer – bring a picnic dinner (with maybe a little wine?) for yourself and your friends - come early at 6:30. Sunday, June 17 Fatherhood: A Mystic Journey — both services

Author Mike Robbins makes a return visit to Unity in Marin to discuss the spiritual significance of fatherhood on Father’s Day.  His talk focuses on making peace with our own fathers, appreciating them, and also honoring the fathers within us and around us. Mike, the father of two young girls himself, will share some of the lessons he learned from his own late father, from his journey of fathering his girls, and from the principles he teaches in his books and workshops. This heartwarming and down to earth talk is a great way to start your Father’s Day!

Events Production (Education Ministry) Seeks to Build A Team of Volunteers for Special Events:   A true abundance of exciting special events are coming our way, and we're building a team of volunteers to staff these spectacular offerings!  But we need your help!
